First off, Happy Mother’s Day to every MOM out there! I am praying for you all today!
To my incredible Mom, thank you for showing me what selflessness is. You don’t appreciate what Mom’s do, or even see the little things until you are in it, so thank you for IT.ALL. – being my advocate, listener, example of faith, advice giver, rock, and best friend. It has been so amazing watching you become a Grandma and I am EXTREMELY blessed to have a Mom like you!
I also wish Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing Mother-in-Law for raising the most incredible man ever. I am so blessed to have you in my life as a bonus Mom! Raising 5 kids, I could not even imagine! Thank you for the person you are! The kids are so lucky to call you their Grandma!!
To my Grandma, my husband’s Grandma, our deceased Grandmothers and all other Moms I’ve been so blessed to be surrounded by in my life (Aunts, sister-in-laws, cousins and friends) wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day as well!
I figured the day after Mother’s Day would be the perfect day to add Motherhood Monday to the mix on my blog. I thought this would be a fun way to answer questions I’ve had, share insights discovered and be a resource to others all things related to being MOM! At times it will be light and fun and at other times I envision it raw and real.
By no means am I an expert in the motherhood department. My kiddos are still practically babies, but I am the type of person who loves learning from my experiences, others experiences, sharing useful information – and I feel this would be a great place to share all that!
It has been an absolute JOY becoming a Mom. While filled with many frustrations and chaos, it is the most fulfilling and beautiful role EVER! You can never appreciate what your own mother has done for you throughout your life until you are walking in her footsteps.
I know there will be wild ups and downs ahead – hardships, tears, failures, struggles, loss, but my hope is that my husband and I can follow the example of our parents – to shown selflessness, guide, encourage, lead and love our kids throughout this whole journey.
Becoming a Mom has already taught me the importance of selflessness, strength, love, happiness and has shown me the areas in my life where I can improve – patience, grace and listening.
Our Kiddos
We’ve been blessed with three amazing kiddos who make us smile, laugh, RUN, want to pull our hair out at times and LOVE them, so much more EVERY.SINGLE.DAY!
So for my first Motherhood Monday post, I want to introduce the three children who’ve made me a MOM! Keeping these descriptions short and sweet because I could go off on a tangent!
Audrey
Loving, sweet, kind, funny and smart. She is our oldest (4 – almost 5) and is our little caregiver to others in the family. The sweetest little soul and one who just rolls with the punches. Audrey is tougher than I ever could be – having had two eye alignment surgeries already! She loves to play (outside particularly) and is the most INCREDIBLE big sister and daughter EVER!
JP
The most energetic, independent, curious, fun, sweet and caring little man! He is 2 (3 in October) and is such an amazing problem solver. I have loved watching the gears turn in his head in order to figure things out. He’s OBSESSED with chocolate (like me) and can go from wild and crazy to loving and snugly in seconds flat! I have loved watching him grow into the most amazing brother and son over the past year!
Thomas
Little T has been an ABSOLUTE JOY! At 8 and a half months, he rounds out the crew and is just the most mild mannered baby. He is so chill, goes with the flow and has the best demeanor. I love his smiles, his love of food and his big snuggles. He is definitely a cuddly little guy and we are so blessed to have T in our lives!
Looking forward to sharing more, but in the meantime, wishing everyone a great week!
