Good morning everyone and happy Friday! I have so many favorite things to highlight this week!
Today, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share some Friday Favorites with you all!
An Extremely Talented Sister in Law
I had ordered a graphic to frame from Amazon for my son’s room and I was SHOCKED when I received it! I must have been sleep shopping because this itty bitty unframed 8″ x 10″ picture arrived…and it was definitely not what I wanted…
Cute though, right?!
Anyway, I asked my sister in law if she wouldn’t mind painting a similar picture LARGER scale for Baby T’s nursery, and she jumped right on it, finishing it in literally 24 HOURS! I am beyond obsessed!
She’s just the very best!
My Most Favorite Views!
I love when the weather heats up and I can sit out in our gazebo in the mornings. It is so so relaxing and one of my most favorite views.
Another view I love is how the sun hits our property in the evenings now that the days are longer. Our sunsets are no longer blocked by the neighbors house!
This is my view when I’m putting Baby T down for bed – I don’t mind staring out there and resting for a while before heading back down to a kitchen that needs major cleaning. We are extremely blessed to be in this house and I am so thankful for it everyday!
Mocha Chocolaty Chip Cookies
Yesterday I shared the most recent trend in our house – MOCHA or COFFEE flavored anything!
Seriously, I have gone from these Mocha Chocolaty Chip Cookies, to making a whipped coffee, to getting creative with my daily coffee, coming full circle to Mocha cookies again – this time I made them using cake mix.
The recipe is found in my post from yesterday
Cinco Drinko – Coconut Mango Margaritas
For Cinco De Mayo, we had my husband’s family over for burrito bowls and margaritas.
I pretended it was 75 degrees and sunny while sipping this beverage because it definitely put me in that summer mood!
It was super easy, very versatile and delish. As I mentioned in my post. We used my husband’s favorite beverage Bai Malawi Mango Coconut water to jazz up this drink! These Bai drinks would make awesome mixers for cocktails and mocktails – SO many flavors!
Girls Date!
My daughter and I made a quick trip to pick up soil and stop at my Mom’s house to grab something there while the boys were napping and my husband was home working. I actually really enjoyed that one-on-one time together and forgot how important it is to have a little “alone” time with each child to chat uninterrupted and just “hang”.
She told me she had that best time and that made my heart so happy – all we did was drive around basically!
Indoor Sowing
Well, it’s not secret here I am a big garden/flower person! I have been out inspecting all my garden beds like 5 times a day (the neighbors might think I’m crazy!).
Anyway, I was making some notes in my gardening journal and saw I had started planting in my cut garden on 5/6 of last year…welp, clearly not happening as we’re expecting SNOW and cold temps this weekend – URRRRGGHH
My husband has this shirt and it makes me laugh always because it is SO true!
I was also dying at this video!
I actually couldn’t handle an extra week of waiting – I am SO impatient – so I went ahead and planted some seeds in pots!
Planting with Kids
I had bought supplies for the kids to go ahead and decorate their own flower pots, plant seeds, water and care for their own flowers this summer!
Here’s how their pots turned out!
Date night
We had a nice “date night” this week where we continued watching “The Last Dance” docuseries about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.
We are huge sports people and I am just always fascinated with sports history anyways. Some of the things you just can’t even make up…
I look absolutely EXHAUSTED in this picture and it turns out, I was. Feel asleep 2.5 seconds into our second episode – win of a date night, ha!
I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!
That so sounds like me on date night!! Our intentions were good. For sure. Lol. Love the views and the picture your sister in law painted is perfect. Happy Weekend!
Haha! Oh, thank goodness it’s not just me – I felt bad when he woke me up, ha! And thank you Trista!
Our weather is like that too!! We were in short earlier this week and braced for snow flurries tonight. Those painted pots are so cute.
