Friday Favorites (04.04.25)

Good morning and happy FRIDAY! Another week down – I seriously can’t believe how fast they fly! We’ve had a busy couple weeks adjusting to sports schedules and all the carpooling logistics and are happy to have found our groove!

Of course, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share them!

Local favorite

I can’t believe I’m just sharing this, but sharing a local fav today! Andrew and I went out for a date night to Little Italy just outside of Downtown Cleveland. If you’ve never been, you need to go! It’s a charming area with some of the best food EVER!

A friend of ours recommended an awesome drink spot, Cent’Anni Cocktail Bar.

Their drinks were so unique and excellent!

Not to mention this charcuterie board!

We really enjoyed the vibe there!

Fav foodie from the week

We had some yummy snack trays this week! One involved a healthy fruit dip – truwhip (healthier cool whip alternative), some vanilla Greek yogurt a little sprinkle of sugar – yum!

Going to share one of my fav breakfasts…peanut butter banana protein yogurt bowl!

Favs from the week

We did some rearranging of our kitchen counters. Audrey is a huge help! We came up with this look eliminating the junk pile of papers that used to sit here. I’ve now dismantled the dining room to organize it better as this is where I will keep all our papers from now on – baby steps!

Working out at our best friends gym is always a fav. I’ve really enjoyed lifting (small weights) and look forward to getting into better shape!

We started football games and track meets this weekend! Not so fav, I ended up missing all the events because I decided to try and catch a little bit of everyone’s sporting event as they all fell around the same time and the stadiums were 5 minutes from each other. It started with me and Audrey (and her friend who slept over) arriving a little late to Tommy’s flag game. We only caught 15 minutes, then it was off to get the girls to her track meet. JP had a game shortly after the start of the track meet, so I waited until Audrey would run and they were taking forever, so I decided to head over to catch the end of JP’s game. Audrey apparently ran literally right as I pulled into the other stadium… I arrived at JP’s game, saw one play and the refs called the game early as they were beating them by a lot…. what a fiasco!

We celebrated our favorite ONE YEAR OLD niece this past weekend!

The best girlies!

Another fav was spending a Tuesday with this guy at the hardware store…he was cracking me up – such a great helper!

Not so fav was our weather this week. We had a TON of rain fall. The only thing I didn’t mind was the view of the temporary “lake” that happened in our backyard – kinda pretty, ha!

Fav outfit from the weekend

I have no clue why I’m so into cargos recently, but I am and I love them. I can’t wait to wear these with tanks and t-shirts! These fit perfect and love the quality. American Eagle knows what they are doing!

Favorites from the Garden

We are so close to tulips! They’ve grown so much over the past week and I bet I will start pulling this weekend or early into next week! Which means, my tulip subscriptions will be happening soon as well!

This time of year is pretty labor intensive. I have to keep a close eye on the weather and make sure my plants are protected from any crazy temperature swings and wild weather events (aka massive rains!). These beds have to be tucked in almost every night in the spring because our overnight lows are still a little too cold!

I also am getting my cooler ready. I can’t wait to share a blog post about this investment! It has be so excited for this tulip season!

My dahlia tuber sale is still happening if you are interested in planting and growing these gorgeous flowers in your garden! I have awesome varieties that are specific for cut flower growing! Feel free to check it out on my website – www.shermanacresfloral.com

It sounds like a lovely date night at a fantastic location and that snack tray looks so good.
The gym looks amazing but what a shame you missed all the events. It does sound like a fiasco!
Well done with the tulips, how exciting to see everything growing.
