Three Years with our Mini Bernedoodle

Hey and Happy Thursday! Today I wanted to share a little more about our Mini Bernedoodle, Nellie who just turned 3! I can’t believe how many views these posts have received – there must be an increased interest in the breed! So, if you were anything like me 3 years ago – searching for any information I could find about Bernedoodles, you’ve come to the right place!

First, I always start out by saying, we had no intention on a dog. We thought our lifestyle would be WAYY too busy for a dog, but it is crazy how you find a way to make it work. It also helps that I am a stay at home Mom, so I am around her a lot, that made us feel more comfortable with the decision. Getting a dog was one of the best decisions. She brings us pure joy. We are always fascinated by her (and the fact there is an animal living in our house).

A Season of Sacrifice

It’s Ash Wednesday and every year on this day, I find myself diving deeper and deeper into the Lenten season ahead. I’m not sure if it’s age or the more you learn spiritually every passing year, but you realize how precious life is and how temporary our life here on Earth is. As a Catholic, Lent is a time to grow in faith and grow closer to God. We prepare and reflect on the great sacrifice Jesus made for us. We repent, turn away from sin and seek to change our own life to become more Christ-centered.

I’ve shared this many times before, but we have the Hallow app and use it religiously (no pun intended). I LOVE the daily reflections – which serve as mini “homilies” on the daily Gospel reading. The other day, Jeff Cavins (the individual who writes the daily reflections) talked about a Latin phrase – “Momento Mori” translated “remember you must die“. That phrase has really stuck with me the past couple days – today particularly. While morbid, it is a reminder of our Earthly lives fleeting nature. It is also an important reminder to think about our purpose here and help focus on our hope and desire for eternal life. How can we get to Heaven?

It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means- MY FAVORITE POST! I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Mix & Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To to share what has been happening around here!

I was having some storage/hosting issues on my website, and would appreciate any advice on this topic! What platform do you love if you blog and does it give you enough storage (i.e. cloud, etc). Site hosting is getting expensive, so I want to make sure I’m making the right decision so I can continue blogging!

Friday Favorites (02.14.25)

Good morning, and happy Valentine’s Day! It’s so awesome when Valentine’s Day lands on a Friday – mostly if you plan on doing something this day and get a sitter, lol! I think our day will involve hanging with the kiddos and doing our favorite tradition annual Valentine card reading! Andrew’s dad used to do this When he was a kid, now we torture our own kids lol the Valentines day card reading Andrew opening everyone of the kids Valentines and reading them in a cringe voice acting as if the note on the Valentine is from a legit crush lol it is torture ha ha!

The kids are off for another 4 day weekend! What a life!

Of course, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share them!

Helpful and Flexible Home Cleaning Checklist

Happy Tuesday! Today I am re-sharing my cleaning checklist because I use it every single day! In an effort to keep up with things around the house and not get TOO overwhelmed, I put together a thorough home maintenance schedule based on combining multiple cleaning checklists.

I shared in my Motherhood Monday post today, that I need small achievable goals and this cleaning checklist allows me flexibility and a realistic approach to taking care of our home.
