A Day in the Life – December 2020

Today I’m sharing my day in the life post for December. I decided to do this that morning and tried to capture as much of the day as I could remember! Here we go!

6:45 am – I was up reading the end of the Silent Patient. I NEEDED to finish this! Such a good book!

This was our morning view when I finally got out of bed – PRETTY!

Finished just in time…7:15, the alarm clock went off and there was no movement for quite some time…

…I let her sleep in a little because it was Pajama Day at school! So precious, she did not want to leave her bed!

JP was already up and brushing his teeth and now it was time to grab this guy!

Came down to this crazy kitchen. Ugh, not the best way to start the day, but happy I would have some free time to clean it up after drop off!

Microwaveable sausages for the win on this particular day!

Out to the car, but before getting in of course we need to eat some snow!

I’m OBSESSED with the pines on our street and love them even more when they are snow covered!

Hubs asked if I would pick up some McD’s (of course I would! Love me some McDonalds) – funny, we do this occasionally and today happened to be one of those days! I opted for a Coke and hash brown. I need a detox from vacation.

In my comfies ALWAYS! Also, why is McDonald’s coke SO GOOD?!

Off to empty the dishwasher so I could load it with all the dirty dishes that were out on the counter – with my little helper of course!

I decided to do a quick clean of my dishwasher – I try to do this every month. Pour vinegar into a mug or bowl and place in the middle of the top shelf. Run the rinse only mode. Takes about 20 minutes

Then over to tackle the luggage – surprised it took me a week to get the clothes washed and put away – honestly, it’s normally longer…

Once the dishwasher was clean – time to disinfect and clean my kitchen counters. I LOVE the smell of this stuff!

AHHHHH!!!! SOOOOO much better. Unfortunately it will most likely only stay this way for 5 minutes…

Time check (10:30 a.m.)- played in the basement for a while and came back up to next tackle this mess…

Ten minutes later…

And into the car to go grab sis from her half day at preschool. The last day before her Christmas break.

Didn’t get a pic at pickup, but back home for a quick lunch. My kid’s really like the whole grain chicken fries from Aldi – also I REALLY like these!

Audrey asked me my favorite Christmas song and I started playing Amy Grant’s Christmas album. Reminds me so much of my childhood and my Mom!

Audrey said this was her fav song!

12:00 and time for a Home Alone viewing!

12:45 pm Putting T down for a nap

Then JP went down for a nap and I snuck out to run some Christmas errands with my Mom!

First stop, the Fowler’s Milling Co. to pick up some gifts for our neighbors and some family members!

It’s adorable inside.

This is what I ended up buying…

Then off to Walmart where we spent, I don’t even know how long! We got a lot done though it felt great!

I took ZERO pictures after this point but we ran through the BK drive-thru (ugh, such an unhealthy day, but convenience!) got home, hid my gifts, ate dinner and then did a puzzle with Grandma while I helped her finish her Christmas cards!

My Mom left around 8:30 pm so I spent some time with these kiddos after putting Tommy down playing the Break the Ice game

Up to bed at 10:15 (super late night, but I felt bad I was gone all day!) and it was curtains from this point on! I fell asleep while laying in bed with Audrey and JP!
